Saumil was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research. He has been dancing from an early age coming from a household of traditional Bharatanatyam teachers. Saumil joined Ishaara in 2007 and has had a variety of competitive dance experience including the Berkeley Raas Garba team as well as the well known Da Real Punjabiz from UCSD. He is also the founder of Berkeley Zahanat, an all-male south asian fusion dance team that competes nationally representing UC Berkeley. Saumil currently works at ARM in Santa Clara as a Sourcing Specialist for Technology IP and is looking to establish a career in the Mobile Technology Industry.
