Nickesh was raised in Northern California and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2011. In college, he spent his first two years as a leading dancer on Ishaara, his third year captaining UC Berkeley’s competitive team Azaad, and his fourth year running the university’s first all-male fusion team, Zahanat. He has served as Ishaara’s Chief Operating Officer, managing performance logistics, business development, sales, marketing and both recruitment and training of dancers nationwide.
