Ankit Modi was born and raised in Arcadia, California and had been exposed to various forms of dance at a young age. He has participated in Raas/Garba and Bollywood dancing since he was 9 years old. Ankit attended the University of California, Berkeley for his undergraduate studies and joined Ishaara in 2007. He will be attending the Boston University School of Medicine this Fall 2012. While a member of Ishaara, Ankit has had an increased fascination with the human body and wants to incorporate this interest into his future career, potentially working with musculo-skeletal injuries in the future. Almost more than dancing itself, Ankit loves working with props and special effects related to the dance performances. His goal is to constantly add to the production value of Ishaara in the future.
