Rohit was born in the bay area but spent the majority of his childhood in Stuttgart, Germany. His Portuguese last name dates back to his Catholic ancestors; therefore, Rohit had significantly less exposure to the Indian culture early on. After never having seen an Indian movie until high school, Rohit was inspired by Hrithik Roshan’s fusion dance routine to the song “Dhoom Again”. After a taste of bollywood dance in high school, Rohit attended UCSD to study Bioengineering while dancing for UCSD’s Hindi Film Dance team called KYA. Aside from dance, Rohit enjoys playing tennis and basketball, practicing all types of yoga, travelling, scuba diving, long boarding, and chillin with his friends and family.
