Rashi has been dancing since the age of four training in both Western and Eastern styles of dance including Khatak with Pandit Chitresh Das, Jazz, Tap, Modern and Hip Hop. Rashi is a self taught Bollywood dancer and has been dancing and choreographing Bollywood dance routines throughout her youth. Rashi danced and choreographed for UCLA’s Hindi Film Dance team, Nashaa, throughout her tenure at UCLA. She lead the team to a national title in April 2007 at the Best of Best competition in Chicago. From 2006 to 2010, Rashi has danced nationally with blue13, a modern Indian dance company known for its signature contemporary styles inspired by Indian dance. At blue13, Rashi was a principle dancer, choreographed new work, and was a dance instructor at The Blue School. Rashi is currently living in New York City and dances with the Sa Dance Company and Ishaara. When not dancing, Rashi works fulltime as a graphic designer and floral stylist.
