Anand was born and raised in Covina, CA and is currently completing a Masters of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 2011 with Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and Materials Science and Engineering and will continue his education in Electrical Engineering at Stanford in Fall 2012. His passion for the performing arts began when he started playing the piano at age 5. Although initially averse to all types of dance, his interest in both western and eastern musical styles eventually lead him to try his hand at dance at UC Berkeley where he joined Ishaara in 2008. Anand’s work with Ishaara has spurned his interest in business and entrepreneurship. He hopes to work at a large technology firm and eventually pursue start-up opportunities.
